Hello and welcome,

My name is Molly, but you can call me Mol. I’ve always made sense of the world (and my place in it) through words - words that I’ve hastily typed in phone notes on the train, or scribbled in my morning pages, or hand-written in greeting cards to give to friends, and my personal favourite, screamed into karaoke microphones.

I thought it was about time to create a more intentional container for my words, and so Spag Mol was born. This Substack is an experiment in documenting the tangle of my spaghetti brain — not to separate the strands, but to savour life in all its delicious, complex, carb-loaded messiness.

My hypothesis is that if I make space for more words in my life, perhaps I can experience more of it - life, that is.

An insight into my spaghetti brain

A taste of what to expect

I think (and therefore write) a lot about the size, shape, and pace of life. I’m curious about relationships and the ways we relate to people, to time, to change. I’m fascinated by the pursuit of mastery, including my reasons for writing.

This is me, Mol, in my native London habitat

Three things I believe in:

  1. Universal timing (cosmic coincidences)

  2. Going with the gut-feel

  3. It’s always time for tea

Three things I find joy in:

  1. Sharing long, comfortable silences

  2. Receiving “this made me think of you” messages

  3. Eating heaping, steaming bowls of spaghetti
